If you want to lead and motivate your team the right way, then MLM mentoring should be top on your agenda. It may sound cheesy, but their success is ultimately your success so don’t underestimate the value that MLM mentoring brings to your bottom line.

Assume that you’ll have to do a lot of MLM training (or re-training) for each of your recruits. Much of what they know or think they know about MLM needs to fit the system you work with, so be sure you’re starting from the ground up.

You don’t want to hit them with too much information at first. That just leads to confusion and they’ll just end up with more questions than answers. Instead, present a systematic approach that takes them through processes. Walk them through the logic of why you do things a certain way so they don’t resist what you have to say. When it comes to MLM mentoring, the two most important questions are “how” and “why.”

In other words, deliver your MLM training in small, bite-sized portions that’s easy to digest. Remember, not everyone learns at the same rate, so be prepared to explain things in a way they’ll understand. That’s the only way you’ll know your downline is always on the same page you are. You’ll also want to save yourself a lot of time by having a list of frequently asked questions and making the answers available to your team. This ensures that the information and training you provide is always consistent. That said, make sure that your team members feel they can approach you with their questions and concerns. Open up lines of communication so your team knows you’re supporting them 100%. Better yet, blog your team’s questions so other people know where to find the answers.

Remember, MLM mentoring serves two main purposes. It guides your team through a system to ensure they can duplicate your success and it builds up your credentials and reinforces their perception of you as their leader so you attract more people to your team.

By using a systematic approach as a mentor, you will provide all of your team members with consistent training and support that ensures everyone on your team has the same recipe for success you have. Give them that and the only variable or “x-factor” left that determines who becomes successful or not is the amount of effort and commitment each team member is willing to put in.
